Fraudster steals $6.7 million from city of Portland, in phishing scheme targeting huge construction project
The city of Portland broke ground on its $2 billion Bull Run water filtration plant near Gresham in 2024. This month the city disclosed it mistakenly sent $6.7 million to a person posing as a vendor on the project.
