It’s there since 2.6.36.It is read by node exporter as node_vmstat_oom_kill metric.It may be obvious for most people, but my old way was to detect OOMs through parsing of kernel messages (dmesg), and it was complicated, slow and a bit unreliable.It’s much easier to test and to react.With Linux 6.6 been released I’m a bit slow to notice it.
