AMD Targets Nvidia With 288-GB Instinct MI325X GPU Coming This Year
The chip designer says the Instinct MI325X data center GPU will best Nvidia’s H200 in memory capacity, memory bandwidth and peak theoretical performance for 8-bit floating point and 16-bit floating point in the fight to power future generative AI workloads.
AMD plans to release a new Instinct data center GPU later this year with significantly greater high-bandwidth memory than its MI300X chip or Nvidia’s H200, enabling servers to handle larger generative AI models than before.
